Growing up, Time and Newsweek were the two, HUGE news magazines.
Was at the doctor’s office today and I almost fell over when I saw how thin Newsweek was… it looked more like a pamphlet than a magazine.
My thought was, "Newsweek is one of the great news brandnames… they must be doing a lot better online."
Turns out they may not be… they just got sold today… for $1.
Of course, pretty much every magazine in the world has gone through this transformation (a nice way to say "gutted").  Don’t know why, but seeing Newsweek — the news titan of my youth — in this state just bummed me out more than I expected.
I am humbly reminded that everything — everything — eventually cycles.
